FUSION
Fusion was established in 1981 while Franc Aledia (bassist/vocals, Grant Guilkey (guitar/vocals) and Kenn Kaplan (keyboards/vocals) were in high school. They had immediate success in the local music scene even though they were still in their teens and weren’t able to work “legally” in all the legendary clubs they were performing in. They opened for the top bands in their hometown of Columbus, Ohio (The Godz, Rosie, Spittin’ Image, Money) and National acts (The Outlaws, Firefall, Crack the Sky, The Outfield, Gary Richrath and John Parr). They won Rock Wars II, were featured on the QFM96 Hometown Album Four and headlined the Channel 10, Ohio State Fair Pavilion all before they even graduated high school.
Jeff Robert (drums/vocals) was added and Fusion went on to perform locally and nationally throughout the country bringing their unique blend of pop rock and progressive rock to packed houses everywhere. Fusion continues to perform at the highest level performing at the top clubs in Columbus as well as tailgate pre and post game parties at the Varsity Club for THE Ohio State Buckeye football home games.
